I predicted it on Monday. Or at least I came close: “I believe that there is a real possibility of a Rays sweep”. The Rays beat Boston again tonight, 7-6, after overcoming a 4-1 deficit. And now they’re 20 games over .500 and in first place by 3 1/2 games. And the best record in baseball. Please don’t wake me up; this is one of the best dreams I’ve ever had!

And I loved that they played “Sweet Caroline” at the Trop after the last out! They have also played “New York, New York” in the past after beating the Yankees. It’s a great way to kick the big spenders while they’re down!

  1. If they weren’t American League and all, we’d sort of kind of be rooting for the Rays right now. They sure have spunk. Anybody that can whomp the Yankees = positive life force.

  2. Who do you root for in the American League, Patricia?
